National Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable Contest Winners {SE MN Photographer}

We are proud to announce we had 9 winners in the National portion of the Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable contests. The National portion of the contest took place at the lab and was judged by a panel of judges based on quality, appearance, charm, expression, and personality.

In the National Pawsitively Adorable contest…

We had First Place for Me & My Human. They won a $100 Visa gift card.

We had Second Place for Newborns. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Dogs. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for dogs. Super exciting as this is my dog, Maverick. We won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention in Buddies. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

In the National Adorable Children contest…..

We had a Second Place for Bloopers. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Bloopers. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for 13 Months- 2 Years. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for 9-12 Years. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

The lab where these took place is having some website issues, but as soon as we can see the other winners, I will post them here, too. Congratulations, everyone! Thanks for participating and voting! =)

And since we did not do the local portion of the Pawsitively Adorable as it was mostly my assistant’s dogs and family pets, and I had not posted the Pawsitively Adorable images, these are the other images we submitted. So they each received a 16×20 print from their session.

Extended Family Photos {Southeast MN Family Portrait Photographer}

For this Southeast MN area family photoshoot, we included not just mom, dad and the kids, but also the grandma and uncle, aunt and cousins! Extended family photos are a great way to capture all members of the family together.  Next time you plan your family pictures, think about asking more family to come along!

We did these photos in the studio in Spring Valley, MN and also around downtown. There are a lot of options in the area, including a creek along with green grass.  There is also a bridge nearby and lots of cool buildings and architecture to really give lots of variety to the session.

So if you have family visiting from out of town, think about scheduling an extended family photo session to remember their visit.  Or maybe all of you all live in SE MN, but you’ve never thought to have grandpa and grandma included in the photos.  Do that this year! While I know agreeing on a date and coordinating the perfect outfit colors can be difficult, it will be worth it.

In Studio Maternity {LeRoy Minnesota Maternity Portrait Photgrapher}

Maternity portraits capture this beautiful part of your life at your best. The weather here in Minnesota is cold and dreary…but the studio is warm and cozy!  In-studio maternity photos are so much fun and give all the focus on that baby belly! If you don’t know what to wear, we have some dresses at the studio that you are welcome to use, including the two pictured in this session.

Snow Puppy {Rochester MN Dog Portrait Photographer}

I went outside tonight with our almost 5-month Black English Labrador puppy as the sun was setting. Right away, I noticed how the sun was reflecting on the snow that fell this am. The colors were so pretty. So I ran back inside to grab my camera to grab some photos hoping to get some photos of Maverick. However, Maverick had other ideas in mind and only went to the spot I needed to get the color with him one time. But he was so cute with the snow on his nose, I had to grab a few more photos of him.

Snow {Southeast Minnesota Baby Portrait Photographer}

9 Months {Spring Valley MN Portrait Photographer}

For B’s 9-month portrait session, we utilized downtown Spring Valley, MN. He had an S&S Bait Shop shirt, so we headed over to get some photos of him outside of the shop. B wasn’t really into getting photos taken that day as it was very humid outside. So we rescheduled. The next time his big brothers came along for the shoot. They were so helpful pulling the wagon of stuff and helping get B to smile. Chateau de Chic’s mural painted by Andrea Hindt made the perfect backdrop for the photos with the vintage hot rod peddle car.
Tomorrow we get to do his final session in his Watch Me Grow session, his 1-year portrait session. Love getting to watch these little ones grow over the entire year of sessions.
