National Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable Contest Winners {SE MN Photographer}

We are proud to announce we had 9 winners in the National portion of the Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable contests. The National portion of the contest took place at the lab and was judged by a panel of judges based on quality, appearance, charm, expression, and personality.

In the National Pawsitively Adorable contest…

We had First Place for Me & My Human. They won a $100 Visa gift card.

We had Second Place for Newborns. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Dogs. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for dogs. Super exciting as this is my dog, Maverick. We won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention in Buddies. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

In the National Adorable Children contest…..

We had a Second Place for Bloopers. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Bloopers. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for 13 Months- 2 Years. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for 9-12 Years. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

The lab where these took place is having some website issues, but as soon as we can see the other winners, I will post them here, too. Congratulations, everyone! Thanks for participating and voting! =)

And since we did not do the local portion of the Pawsitively Adorable as it was mostly my assistant’s dogs and family pets, and I had not posted the Pawsitively Adorable images, these are the other images we submitted. So they each received a 16×20 print from their session.

Terron ’18 {SE MN Senior Portrait Photographer}

Senior pictures are likely the last time children will have professional portraits made of themselves until their wedding. That’s right – until their wedding. Though this alone seems a perfectly good reason for their parents to have them done, this reasoning is likely not a good reason to the senior boy to get their portraits done. Getting a senior boy to have his picture taken by a professional photographer and be happy about it can be just about impossible. But who doesn’t love a challenge?

I have known and taken Terron’s family portraits since he was about 8, I think. Terron is a really great kid but never been enthusiastic about having his pictures taken. Honestly, I don’t blame him. After all, how much fun can it be to hang out with 2 ladies, one with her camera in your face and the other with a flash in your face for an hour or so? With that said I have yet to come across a senior boy who really, really wanted a session. But, I also have yet to have a senior boy come away from one of our sessions that hasn’t said that wasn’t really that bad. Although, they may all just be being polite. 😉

Anyway, thanks for sticking with us Terron! We enjoyed your shoot and wish nothing but the best in the future. Congratulations!

P.S. I also included some photos of his Mom getting some photos we delivered to her this week from the spring baseball session we did with Terron. Love her priceless reaction, she was so excited for her canvas and custom 3-foot cardboard cutout (it still needs to be popped out from where it was cut so there won’t be any white around it).

Jordan ’18 {SE MN Senior Portrait Photographer}

It has been an amazing year and I am so thankful for all of my fabulous clients! I had so much fun creating the perfect session for some 2018 seniors. I will still be sharing more of each one individually that I didn’t get a chance to share yet since most of them graduate over the next week or so.

Next up is Jordan. We did 3 sessions with Jordan for his Exclusive Session. We did photos in the studio, out at his Aunt and Uncle’s beautiful property, at an outdoor basketball court and then lastly at his high school for some sports photos. I hope you have a fantastic summer, and that you go on to do amazing things in college! The world has so much in store for you, and I can say from knowing you, you have lots in store for the world!

Alyx ’18 {Spring Valley MN Senior Portrait Photographer}

Time to celebrate! Graduation season is upon us here in Southeast MN, so I wanted to highlight some of our 2018 senior portrait sessions this week.

First up is the beautiful inside and out, Alyx, we had so much fun at 2 sessions with her. One in the summer to capture some portraits to capture her with a nice tan from the summer, in the water and with summer flowers and then in the fall to capture some sports portraits and some fall colors. When you book an Exclusive or Deluxe Session, we can also split the session to be able to capture different seasons or different hairstyles. Such a great option for senior portraits.

Congratulations, Alyx! We wish you lots of luck in your bright future!
