National Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable Contest Winners {SE MN Photographer}

We are proud to announce we had 9 winners in the National portion of the Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable contests. The National portion of the contest took place at the lab and was judged by a panel of judges based on quality, appearance, charm, expression, and personality.

In the National Pawsitively Adorable contest…

We had First Place for Me & My Human. They won a $100 Visa gift card.

We had Second Place for Newborns. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Dogs. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for dogs. Super exciting as this is my dog, Maverick. We won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention in Buddies. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

In the National Adorable Children contest…..

We had a Second Place for Bloopers. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Bloopers. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for 13 Months- 2 Years. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for 9-12 Years. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

The lab where these took place is having some website issues, but as soon as we can see the other winners, I will post them here, too. Congratulations, everyone! Thanks for participating and voting! =)

And since we did not do the local portion of the Pawsitively Adorable as it was mostly my assistant’s dogs and family pets, and I had not posted the Pawsitively Adorable images, these are the other images we submitted. So they each received a 16×20 print from their session.

Sweet Newborn Girl {Spring Valley Minnesota Newborn Portrait Photographer}

This sweet little girl is so special, especially since I photographed her big brothers when they were newborns and photographed their parents back when they went to prom together, too about 10 years ago . Love that I have been able to be apart of their lives along the way and capture these special moments for them. Congratulation to this amazing family!

We also got to get a few photos of her big brothers during her session.

2016 Adorable Children Portrait Contest {SE MN Portrait Photographer}

We are excited to announce our second year participating in the national ‘Adorable Children’s Portrait Contest’. Schedule a portrait session with Photography by Kari for your child(ren) age newborn to 12 years now (beginning of June 2015, so if you have already had a session since June 2015, you may enter a photo) until May 2016 and you can choose to enter the Adorable National Children’s Portrait Contest.

If you would like a session just for this contest, we will be doing Adorable Mini’s from now until May 15th, 2016. They will be 30 minute sessions with 1 backdrop/one location and 1 outfit for $40 plus MN and Filmore County Sales tax and 15% off prints bought from the session. Or you may also book a full session, too.

This is a national contest being put on by one of our labs and is open to kids ages newborn to 12 years and has a variety of categories. The photos will also be judged locally via votes on Photography by Kari’s blog in June. The top 5 winners with the most votes in the local Photography by Kari Adorable Children’s Portrait contest will receive a 16×20 print ($105 value) of the winner’s choice from the session used to enter the contest . The Grand Prize winner of the local contest will also receive a Standard Session and 5×7 session brag book from this session (a $455 value).

The best part of the contest is that there are over $7500 in prizes in the National contest! So why not get some cute photos of your child(ren) AND have the chance to win the top national prize of a $1500.00 MasterCard gift card?

The National Photo Categories are:
• 0-6 months
• 7-12 months
• 13 months-2 years
• 3-5 years
• 6-8 years
• 9-12 years
• Mommy/Daddy and Me (one adult and one child)(Maternity pictures are not eligible)
• Buddies (minimum of 2 subjects)
• Bloopers
• Me n’ My Pet

Fine print:
1. Parents/Guardians MUST sign a model release form that gives permission to Photography by Kari and American Color Imaging with unlimited use of the child’s photographs without additional compensation.

2. More than one child may be included in the portrait session, but only images of children ages 12 and under are eligible to win.

3. For National judging, prints are judged on the basis of quality, appearance, charm, expression and personality. All judging decisions are final.Contest winners will be announced and prizes awarded on July 31, 2016 for the National Photo Contest.

4. There is no cash value to the local prizes.

Extended Family {LeRoy-Ostrander MN Family Portrait Photographer}

An extended family session is a session to capture the whole family. At the session any and every combination of people you want in a photo together, will happen before your session ends. We always capture a wonderful variety of photos with the whole family, a few shots of each individual family/couple, grandchildren, grandchildren with grandparents, etc. The possibilities are honestly endless! This is a such great session for capturing the entire family and getting beautiful single family photos as well! We’ve had a few of them recently and will share them some of my favorites over the next week or so.
