1-Year Old Boy{Rochester Minnesota Cake Smash Photographer}

It seems like it was just yesterday that Mr. O was in our studio for his nine-month photos, and now he’s already back for his first birthday portraits and Mickey Mouse-inspired cake smash session?! Time really does fly by, which is why it is SO important to capture these milestones!

I love having messy cake smash sessions in the studio! This little guy knew how to do it. He had a blast destroying his cake! He also kept wincing when he’d get a big taste of the sugar and wanted to share it with all of us. So cute!

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as he enjoyed taking them.

Celebrating 90 Years {Stewartville MN Portrait Photographer}

Today my Grandma turns 90! Experiencing life for nine decades means that you have seen and experienced a lot in your lifetime. So many memories. So many good times!

I cannot begin to describe what a wonderful woman my grandmother is, nor how important she is to me and all of my family. I am so blessed to have so many cherished memories of time spent at my grandmother’s side, listening to her tell stories and learning from her incredible example of strength, love, laughter, and joy. She has never been one to take life too seriously – she enjoys each day to its fullest.

To remember this special moment, I did a quick photoshoot for my Grandma. We had such a fun time. Rylee also took a photo of me and my Grandma as well at the end of our photo session.

Happy 90th Birthday, Grandma!

Anyone else excited for the taste of Spring we are getting in Minnesota for the next 6 days or so?! I was putting in a print order from this session this morning, and I thought they felt Spring-like with the colors and her expressions are likely how we are all feeling about the weather.

25 Years {SE MN Couple Portrait Photographer}

This post is going to be a total overload share, but I just LOVE these photos. When Tom & Shellie reached out and asked to have a session for their 25th wedding anniversary coming up next month, I couldn’t have been more excited! They are two of the sweetest people and I’m so grateful to have met them. Tom and Shellie both work for the company I have my modified van from. Tom, I have known and worked with since I was 16 years old. Tom gets the pleasure of getting my texts when on the rare occasion that my ramp door acts up and having to fit and adjust me into a van when I have gotten new ones. I’m a bit picky, okay maybe very picky, but he has always been happy to do whatever I ask. ? We started out a Masonic and then ran out of spots with leaves and great light, so we headed out from behind the cliff to chase the sunset and did some photos near CTY 1. Tom and Shellie are so fun to be around and you can feel their love just by seeing how they look at each other. This will forever be one of my favorite shoots! Check out how adorable they are in the photos below! And how handsome is their dog, Gus?!
