Love these! I’m so glad she took me up on the prom dress/softball idea. 🙂

Aaron

We shot Aaron’s senior pictures at his home with his combine and truck. While shooting the shots with his truck, their cats decided they needed to be in the picture as well. But that really wasn’t the look Aaron was going for, so we had to enlist his little brother to help us out with entertaining the cats for a few minutes. We also saw some type of small worm or caterpillar stuck in part of a spider web that was hanging from a tall tree. It looked really weird at first cause we couldn’t see the spider web just the worm spinning in mid air. Thankfully, Aaron had no qualms about breaking the web so it wouldn’t be in the picture. Needless to say it was another interesting and fun senior session.

Shane AKA Shaner to Me

We got to shoot the first part of my cousin Shane’s senior pictures the other night. During the session he was quite the trooper cause it was so HOT. I kept giving him a bad time through out the session. At one point I told him, “okay, now I want you to stand up on top of the bus.” He wasn’t sure if I was being serious or not and gave me quite the look. lol Poor guy! I had a great time taking Shane’s pictures, but had a hard time choosing which ones to put up on the blog. I usually can pick favorites within a couple of minutes, but with these I kept staring at them and thinking of the inquisitive boy with glasses and what fantastic young man he’s turned into. Thanks for putting up with me and I hope you didn’t get into too much trouble for getting your white shorts a little dirty! It was my fault, Mary. Sorry!

A Few Sneak Peeks

I can’t believe we only have a few days of July left. Where did the summer go? I feel like it just started. 🙁 But it also means that I’ll be shooting lots of seniors over the next couple of months! I love shooting seniors. It’s kind of a challenge for me because I want every one’s photos to be unique and show the senior’s personality and interests at this time in their lives.
Last week, I got to shoot 2 seniors, Jen and Brianna, and engagement photos of my cousin, Brian, and his fiance, Kelly. We shot Jen’s pictures in Lanesboro. We even had a little visitor while shooting by the waterfall. A muskrat! He didn’t seem to mind us at all, though.
I thought Brianna’s pictures might get rained out but it ended up being a gorgeous night. We ended up not getting to do her outdoor shots though. We ended up running out of daylight, so we are doing her outdoor photos this fall.

For the engagement shoot,we met at my aunt and uncle’s house in Winona and went to WSU and down by the lake. WSU was beautiful with all the flowers, pond, and the ivy on the buildings. After the shoot, my aunt, Sandy, made us supper. She loves to cook, we had grilled chicken, a spinach salad with strawberries and walnuts, fresh vegetables, 3 types of bread, and lemon raspberry tarts. Thanks for the awesome supper, Sandy!

August is completely booked and September and October are partially booked. If you are thinking of booking a fall session, do so soon.
