Sweet Senior Girl {Stewartville MN Senior Photos}

Meet one of our 2021 seniors, Ava! She is such a genuinely sweet soul!! We first met her doing her high school soccer team photos and again at the studio for the soccer varsity team banner. When her Mom wrote to inquire about scheduling her senior portrait session a few weeks later, I knew exactly who Ava was. We had photographed nearly 300 people that week with fall sports, but I remembered her as she had asked us how our day was going and if we going to have a busy day while getting her photo taken for the banner and I thought it was so nice.

We took Ava’s senior portraits at one of the prettiest areas in southeast MN, Good Earth Village. We also went back to Spring Valley and did some photos in the alleyways and then ended the night at my house with the sun setting. Her fall senior pictures are it was what dreams are made of with gorgeous colors and a beautiful sunset. Ava was stunning with the fall colors and her GORGEOUS long, red hair, and perfect cream-colored complexion. Ava is a natural beauty and her style is eclectic and just cool – I love that she marches to the beat of her own drum!! Congratulations on graduation, Ava, and thanks for choosing us to capture these memories for you.

Senior Guy {Chatfield MN Senior Portraits}

Every year I try to be better at making blog posts and it seems as though every year I play catch up. But, I want to make sure all my seniors get their space on our blog. SO a few seniors will be making their appearance this week.


I’ve known and photographed Rylan since he was about 6. It’s been so fun watching him grow up from behind my camera…. Hard to believe he is already graduating…. where does the time go?!?


Rylan really did not want senior photos, but he appeased his Mom and let me do a quick senior portrait session with him.


We started his session in downtown Chatfield, MN on a beautiful sunny afternoon. It was one of the hottest sessions I think we did last year. Shelby and I were both drenched, but Rylan was a trooper wearing long sleeves during some of his portraits. We then headed out to a farm for a few more photos and finished the session with some family photos that I will share in another post.


Rylan, thank you for putting up with me all these years with the yearly family portrait sessions and with your senior portrait session. Loved every moment! I love working with families year after year and capturing these moments and making lifelong memories for them to pass down for generations.

Gorgeous Senior {Senior Portraits in Minnesota}

Good Earth Village is beautiful, but it pales in comparison to this gorgeous girl! Meet Makaela, class of 2021 high school senior, soon-to-be-graduate.  Makalea’s senior session got pushed back a little later in the Fall than we had originally planned.  But we so lucked out and got to have a few seasons in one day in Minnesota. We not only got amazing fall color but also some snow on the ground. Furthermore, Mother Nature showed off even more with the beautiful sky and sunset we got that night. The moon even made an early appearance.  It really was breathtaking.

Senior Yard Signs {SE MN Graduation Celebration Photographer}

Let’s celebrate your senior in style with a customized yard sign! We added 5 new designs this year and still have our designs from last year as well.

Signs are available in 18”x24”, 2-sided, printed on 4mm Waterproof corrugated plastic, long-lasting, fade-resistant UV inks, and include a wire stake. They are $25 each or $20 for 2 or 3 or $15 for 4 or more, plus MN and Fillmore County Sales Tax. Orders can be placed here: https://photographybykari.com/store/index.php?do=photocart…

Orders will be taken from now until 5/15/21. They will take 2 weeks to come in and be ready for pick up. Once your order is placed, please email which photo you would like and the information you’d like added to the design you chose, we will put it together and email you the mock-up for approval before sending it off to the lab to be printed.

*If you had your senior photos taken elsewhere and you bought digital files with a print release, we will need permission and a print release from your photographer, otherwise it can also be a personal photo.*
