Rock ‘N Roll {Southeast MN Portrait Photographer}

After taking Mr. “C’s” portraits, I got the idea to make my uncle a collage with all his grand kids, so I had them all come in for pictures and for some pictures together since it had been 2 years since their last shoot together.  So much fun!

Mr “C” picked out his entire  outfit for these pictures back in November when we went shopping. He had been asking me to go the  studio to do these photos every day I’ve seen him since then to go do these photos, so he could finally take the outfit home and wear it to school.  He especially loves his hat and shoes, he wore them every day to school last week.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined Ms. “K” was loving her outfit.  She instantly had a smile on her face after putting it on.  I got her jacket, skirt, leggings, boots and hair feather on Zulilly. Love this site!  Lots of cute things for great prices.  You can’t see it well in the photos but she has multi-colored fake nails on, too. I think she was most excited for those.  Her brother also picked out her bracelet and necklace for her.  undefined

Showing off her dance moves!  undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined Mr. “C’ also wanted to ham it up for me, again.   He was rocking out Bon Jovi and  Jason Aldean’s “Country Girl, (Shake it for me)”.   I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in a band in the future.  So, these photos will be used for his Valentines this year.  I got both of  his hats from Zulilly, too.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined I also jumped into some of photos.  Can’t wait to get them printed and framed.  Thanks to Kerin for taking them!   undefinedundefinedundefined

January in Minnesota 2 {Spring Valley MN Childrens Photographer}

This week, I get to spend my days with my favorite 4 year old.  So yesterday morning  before the frigid temps crept in, we went outside for 5 minutes to get some silly snow photos.  She thought she was hilarious throwing snow at me and eating it.    But those smiles and giggles make it all worth the snow to the face.  =)

January in Minnesota??? {Southeast MN Photographer}

I was looking at the snapshots that I had taken in 2011… unfortunately,  it wasn’t very many.  Yikes! 🙁   I think I take less and less personal photos every year.  So I’m going to try and change that this year and start to take more photos of friends and family.  And actually print them as well.

Since it was such a beautiful and unusual January day in MN with a high temp of 55, I decided it was great memory to capture in photos.

Jackson was loving it, too!

undefinedundefinedYou would have thought it was spring the way his nose was moving and taking in all the smells.  undefinedundefinedAnd a fun photo to show how high he can jump.undefined

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays {Southeast MN Portrait Photographer}

Merry Christmas, everybody!  Hope your holidays are full of frolicking good fun with family and good friends!

And since no post is really a post without pictures, I thought I’d share photos of the studio with our Christmas lights and decor.  Kerin and Brianna did a great job with the lights and decorating the studio.  We won 3rd place in the Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce’s business lights contest.  How cool is that?  Congratulations to Chateau de Chic on winning first place and to Security State Bank on their second place win.  I love seeing all the lights around town.   Anyway, here’s what the studio looks like…
