We may be on our way to being in a blizzard in a few hours here in SE MN, but I think we all have spring on our minds with all cold and snow we’ve had the last 6 weeks, Easter is just the start in hopes that spring actually comes out soon, so we are now booking Easter Mini Sessions.
 
** These sessions because of the backdrop size are aimed more towards children and or siblings, but we can get a couple of family sitting poses if you’d like a few family photos, too. **

Birthday Memories {SE MN Children’s Portrait Photographer}

This sister and brother duo came in for pictures to remember turning the big double digits of 10 and turning 5. These two are so incredibly sweet and are always excited to get their photos taken. Love the themes they chose. So fun!
 
I have taken photos of Mr. N since before he was born, still have one of his newborn photos on the wall, so I asked him, “since you’re going to be 5 now, does that mean I should take down your newborn photo?” He replied with a big “No!” 😉 Glad to keep the photo up. I have a hard time removing the photos from the wall at the studio anyway, but I am happy to keep this one up. Mr. N and I are birthday buddies, 34 years apart. Happy Birthday, Mr. N! Hope you had a wonderful day, today!
 
So glad that I have been able to capture these memories for their family for the last five years or so.

August Session {SE MN Children’s Portrait Photographer}

Since it’s so incredibly cold out today and many of us have been stuck in the house for the last 3 days due to the weather and school being canceled, it seems like a good day to reminisce and share in this brother-sister session that we did back on a nice HOT day in August. I have been photographing them both since they were newborns. Love watching them grow. I often think Miss E is 5 going on 30 by the conversations we have during our sessions, she definitely loves to be social, she genuinely has a heart for people and is an old soul- wise beyond her years even though she hasn’t even started kindergarten, yet. And Mr. J at 2 may be quiet but you can see the wheels turning with his curious expressions as he takes everything in.

Enjoy the photos! Only one more day of extreme cold and then this weekend with the 40 degree temps forecasted, we will all think it’s spring here in Minnesota and we can all get back outside and enjoy the outdoors a bit, again. YAY!

Family of 4 {SE MN Family Portrait Photographer}

When you get to see friends from childhood and college and they trust you to capture their family’s memories, it’s the best feeling. I have been friends with Beth since we were children and would ice skate together. We also went to college together so I have known Kevin since day 1 when she would have me go with her to see what he and his friends were up to in McElroy and we would watch hockey with him and his friends. I also have taken photos of their wonderful children since they were newborns. Love them and love that I have been able to capture these moments for them.

It may have been a bit cold when we took these photos in September, but you’d never know by looking at these photos. And we also got lucky and we got some beautiful light and fall colors at my favorite location to shoot at when we did this session with my cousin Josh’s family.
