National Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable Contest Winners {SE MN Photographer}

We are proud to announce we had 9 winners in the National portion of the Adorable Children and Pawsitively Adorable contests. The National portion of the contest took place at the lab and was judged by a panel of judges based on quality, appearance, charm, expression, and personality.

In the National Pawsitively Adorable contest…

We had First Place for Me & My Human. They won a $100 Visa gift card.

We had Second Place for Newborns. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Dogs. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for dogs. Super exciting as this is my dog, Maverick. We won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention in Buddies. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

In the National Adorable Children contest…..

We had a Second Place for Bloopers. They won a $75 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for Bloopers. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had a Third Place for 13 Months- 2 Years. They won a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We had an Honorable Mention for 9-12 Years. They won a $25 Visa Gift Card.

The lab where these took place is having some website issues, but as soon as we can see the other winners, I will post them here, too. Congratulations, everyone! Thanks for participating and voting! =)

And since we did not do the local portion of the Pawsitively Adorable as it was mostly my assistant’s dogs and family pets, and I had not posted the Pawsitively Adorable images, these are the other images we submitted. So they each received a 16×20 print from their session.

Maternity Session {SE Minnesota Maternity Portraits}

Photographing maternity sessions warms my heart, especially with such a wonderful couple! Seeing their love and excited anticipation is such a treasure. I am honored to have the privilege of photographing this milestone before they undertake such a grand adventure of adding another baby to their family.

This mama chose to use 3 of my gowns that we have in our studio closet and also brought a gown of her own, too. I love the gorgeous and dramatic look of a studio maternity session. The contrast, the black and white, the gorgeous gowns, and a beautiful mama… gorgeous….

Can’t wait to finish editing this session and meet the newest member of their family in the next few weeks.

Maternity Session with a Dog {SE Minnesota Maternity Portrait Photographer}

This wonderful couple came to the Photography by Kari studio for an in-studio maternity session! I am so happy they brought their fur baby along for their maternity photos! These three were so sweet and so easy to photograph.

I love their outfit choices. They came dressed in the beautiful orange colored outfits and then they also used 2 maternity gowns from our studio closet.

Can’t wait to see them as a family of 4 for a newborn session very soon.

Maternity Milestone {Spring Valley Minnesota Maternity Photographer}

Everyday seems to be a holiday when you are a photographer! One perk of the job is celebrating milestones with families. Maternity sessions are one of those milestones that are exciting and filled with anticipation and wonder for the entire family.


And I can’t wait to capture this family’s next milestone when we get to meet the 4th member of their family in a few weeks.

Family Maternity Portraits {Rochester MN Family Portrait Photographer}

This fall session was more about family photos but also about getting a photo for my friend to use for social media to announce they were expecting. We had such a beautiful fall day at Root River Park in Rochester, MN for their portrait session.

I have so many faves to share with you from their session! And the 24×36 collage we put together is an absolute favorite of mine, so I have to share a photo of her framed prints on the wall, too.
