Tony + Micky {Spring Valley MN Engagement Photographer}

I know it looks like these pictures were taken on a nice Fall day, but in reality it was freezing. These were taken last Saturday when it was in the 30’s outside and extremely windy. So, I just wanted to thank Tony and Micky for being troopers during their session. I had 3 shirts on, a down vest, a hat, and my hood up. I was still cold, I’m not sure how they made it through wearing t-shirts. Micky and Tony, I hope you had a great week in Florida.

A Few Sneak Peeks

I can’t believe we only have a few days of July left. Where did the summer go? I feel like it just started. 🙁 But it also means that I’ll be shooting lots of seniors over the next couple of months! I love shooting seniors. It’s kind of a challenge for me because I want every one’s photos to be unique and show the senior’s personality and interests at this time in their lives.
Last week, I got to shoot 2 seniors, Jen and Brianna, and engagement photos of my cousin, Brian, and his fiance, Kelly. We shot Jen’s pictures in Lanesboro. We even had a little visitor while shooting by the waterfall. A muskrat! He didn’t seem to mind us at all, though.
I thought Brianna’s pictures might get rained out but it ended up being a gorgeous night. We ended up not getting to do her outdoor shots though. We ended up running out of daylight, so we are doing her outdoor photos this fall.

For the engagement shoot,we met at my aunt and uncle’s house in Winona and went to WSU and down by the lake. WSU was beautiful with all the flowers, pond, and the ivy on the buildings. After the shoot, my aunt, Sandy, made us supper. She loves to cook, we had grilled chicken, a spinach salad with strawberries and walnuts, fresh vegetables, 3 types of bread, and lemon raspberry tarts. Thanks for the awesome supper, Sandy!

August is completely booked and September and October are partially booked. If you are thinking of booking a fall session, do so soon.

John + Kristine

I was asked to photograph the engagement session of one of my best friends, Kristine. We decided to go to Lanesboro to get the urban feel and get water all in one location. These two are such a fun couple! We had a blast just exploring! Congratulations you two, can’t wait for your wedding.

Here are a few favs….

Joe + Mia

I photographed Joe and Mia’s engagement session downtown Spring Valley. These two are so cute together! Mia is one of my oldest friends and is just stunning. My new favorite picture is the muted close up of the two of them. I LOVE it!
